Website information

Privacy, in plain language.

This page explains what the Mercer Tree Services website handles when you request an estimate and how the site is designed to keep lead information out of analytics.

Updated September 2, 2026

Information you choose to send

The estimate form asks for your name, phone number, project city or ZIP, and optional email, service selection, and project description. That information is submitted through Formspree so we can receive and respond to the request.

How estimate information is used

We use the information to contact you, understand the requested work, discuss an estimate, and follow up about the project. Do not include sensitive personal, financial, medical, or account information in the project description.

Analytics and session replay

The site uses PostHog for pageview and limited interaction analytics. Measurements are restricted to non-sensitive actions such as a phone-link click, estimate-link click, form start, confirmed form success or failure, review-link click, or service link click. Form values are never included. Automatic element capture, session replay, heatmaps, surveys, error capture, and person profiles are disabled. URL query strings and fragments are removed before analytics events are sent.

Service providers and external links

Formspree processes estimate submissions on behalf of the site. PostHog processes limited website analytics in its US Cloud region and stores a random anonymous identifier in browser local storage; the site does not identify visitors to PostHog. Links to Google reviews and other third-party pages are governed by those services' own privacy practices. Retention of estimate requests depends on the form provider and recipient inbox settings.
